PSS brand is one of the industrial pillars in Altawakol Ntt “Power Business Unit” which inaugurated in 2018. Since the first day PSS vision was clear “We want to be the regional most-trusted supplier for Busduct in the Middle East and African region”.
Thanks to the heavy investment and support provided by its parent company Altawakol Ntt following the organization overall growth plan. PSS started the production early 2018 and succeeded to supply landmark projects in Egypt. The brand collaborates with the best suppliers in the world for Copper, Aluminum and other essential raw materials. PSS Busduct ranging from 630 up to 6400 Amp which covers most of busduct applications. In addition; PSS gained the necessary accreditations and product quality certifications from KEMA (Europe); We are proud to offer PSS to both the Egyptian and Regional markets.
PSS busduct X-way and C-way series are designed for voltage up to 1000 Vac and current from 630 to 6400 Amp. PSS joint kit engineered specifically to reduce the contact resistance to its minimum possible. Both series come with a standard IP54 and insulation class B 130°C (Optional: class F155°C).
Flexibility, expandability and easy maintenance are properties of the bus duct provide the best alternative to cable systems.
Busway’s flexibility and expandability enable IT facilities to accommodate required changes more swiftly, simply and cost-effectively
Busway simplifies and reduces the cost of power feed at a time when budgets in healthcare are tighter than ever
With its trimmer profile, the busway maximizes leasable floor space, resulting in greater revenue and higher profits
Using a Busduct to feed those Equipements directly from overhead busway is both simpler and cheaper than running cables
The compact design of the busduct system provides high space efficiency up to 50% compared to cables.
Pulling cables and cable trays installation can be difficult, and requires a longer construction period, therefore increases the cost.
On the other hand, the busduct uses a simple installation method to connect specific length of products, leading to a shorter installation period.
Busbar components can be added, deleted or relocated after the initial installation that saves time and money.
Low voltage drop characteristic of the bus duct, saves energy.
The ability to have tapping points over the entire route of the bus duct provides reliable & safe load distribution along the route.
Tap-off points at short intervals make electrical power available in all locations.
The power supply can be adapted to different locations simply by relocating the tap-off unit.
The Busduct system has a high tolerance for short circuit. Its stability and reliability make it perfect for a high capacity energy transmission system.
Made of environment friendly material, all the Bus duct components are recyclable.
IEC 61439-1 [(previous standard) IEC 60439-1] (Power Switch gear and Control gear Assemblies)
IEC 61439-6 [(previous standard) IEC 60439-2] (Busbar Trunking Systems)
Busduct is fabricated from high strength conductive Copper/Aluminum bars. The phase and neutral bars are insulated with class B 130°C (Optional Class F 155°C) Polyester Film insulation, the polyester film is wrapped over the full length of the bar except for the joint and contact surface.
The consistent thickness and smooth surface of the polyester film provides a high-quality insulation, polyester is hygroscopic material that has high resistance to water absorption and chemical erosion with excellent dielectric strength. Every Bus-bar and the completed assembly are dielectric tested to ensure that insulation is free of defects.
The X-way/C-way series conductors have a compact construction with high conductivity. The conductor may be ordered in Copper (X-way) or Aluminum (C-way). The connection of the conductors is tin plated in X-way (Silver plating optional) & Silver plated in C-way in order to reduce contact resistance and provide weatherproof medium to protect the contact surface.
The X-way/C-way Busduct incorporates an all-aluminum housing profile which is enclosed, non-ventilated housing resists rust and other elements, distributes heat away from the conductors. It is constructed with a light weight two-piece all aluminum extruded housing; the two-piece housing is bolted together.
Joint Kit used as a connection between two parts of X-way & C-way Busduct, it is possible to remove any joint connection assembly to allow electrical isolation or removal of a busduct length without disturbing adjacent busduct lengths. Isolation joint stacks are available and used to electrically isolate a busduct section(s) within a busduct run. (Assembly Torque 80 N/M).
Ambient Temperature: -5°C to 50°C
Relative Humidity: 95% or below.
The cross-section areas of the conductor and housing profile are designed to meet the standard permissible operating temperature of IEC 61439-1 and 6. Therefore the temperature rise limit of the housing is within 55K above the standard ambient temperature.
The X-way/C-way Busduct uses components without hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, chrome, PBBs or PBDs.
Using X-way/C-way Busduct instead of cable and conduit can create savings of up to 20% – 30% of total installed costs. C-way / X-way busduct is lightweight, compact and takes less time to install comparing to cable and conduit.
Each piece of X-way/C-way Busduct is factory tested before shipping. Tests performed include dielectric tests, which are used to ensure integrity of insulation, conductor resistance to insure the quality of the material.
In order to improve heat radiation and to prevent corrosion, as well as to fit in with the surroundings, we apply electrostatic epoxy power coating after treating the surface, a wide range of color is available to meet the needs of our clients.
Full range of tests performed to ensure optimum performance and meet the highest standards.
The accepted service temperature is from -5°C up to 50°C.
